Patron Agreement and Guidelines In preparation for your visit, please visit the Library and Archives Research Centers policies and procedures on the State Historical Society of Iowa website.The Iowa History Research Centers are open Wednesday – Friday from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. and Saturday 9 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. While the Research Centers do not require a scheduled appointment, scheduling an appointment in advance of your visit is highly recommended if you plan on accessing the State Archives and Special Collections materials.

Requesting an appointment does not guarantee an appointment. Your appointment is confirmed once a staff member has contacted, coordinated and confirmed with you.
